How the spec bands were set, and caveats
- 16": DUA allows 205/55R16. Width band = OEM-like 6.5-7J inside the ETRTO rim range for 205/55; ET band kept at 45-55 like the 17" spec. Assumed, verify before buying.
- 17": Target spec for MB's FK3 (DUA 225/45R17). All 17" fit verdicts were audited in QA (t_f17ec974): 0 violations.
- 18": DUA allows 225/40R18. Width band = ETRTO approved rims for 225/40R18 (7.5-8.5J) capped at 8J for arch clearance; ET 45-55. Assumed, verify before buying.
- Fit means the published size matches. Still check brake-caliper clearance against the spoke profile.
- The 2015-2017 Civic Type R uses 5x120 and different brakes; this page does not cover it.
- All source fitment is US-market (factorywheelwarehouse.com); EU/JDM-only designs are missing for now.
